Wear The Pink Ribbon Contest
September - October
"Wear The Pink Ribbon Contest" is one of the major events organized by BCF. The event aims to raise awareness of breast cancer and the need for early detection by encouraging as many people as possible to wear BCF's Pink Ribbon Pin throughout October. (The pink ribbon is the international symbol representing awareness and hope for women with breast cancer.)

This year, BCF is proud to present two new designs of the pink ribbon pins. Eight sparkling pink crystals are used in one of the designs.

The BCF pins are distributed island-wide at various outlets (e.g. corporations, schools, supermarkets, pharmacies, retail outlets, restaurants, hospitals, healthcare organisations, etc). Members of the public can purchase a generic pink ribbon pin and/or a crystal crusted pin for a minimum donation of S$2.00 and/or S$5.00 respectively.

In October, BCF volunteers go to locations such as the Central Business District, Orchard Road, shopping malls, MRT stations, the heartlands, hospitals, corporations and more, to look out for people wearing the pins. Those spotted doing so will stand a chance to win attractive prizes in a Grand Lucky Draw after the event.

BCF is recruiting volunteers to assist in fund-raising at shopping malls and hospitals. We also welcome members of the public to purchase the uniquely designed pins from us.

Please contact Devi at 6352 6560 or devi@bcf.org.sg for more details.
