Mid-day Talk: ‘Communication & Relationships’
This talk shares representation of selves through our personalities, and learned behaviours, covers the fundamental concepts on change, the coping stances and the ingredients of communication. This talk aims to empower you to be able to relate with ourselves and others more positively.
Guest Speaker: Dr Gilbert Fan, RSW, FAPA
Dr Gilbert Fan brings with him an impressive line of accreditations including Co-Chair for Volunteer Engagement, Co-Chair for Patient Support (2004-2017), Advisor & Master MSW to the Department of Psychosocial Oncology, and HR Counsellor & Trainer (Employee Relations), Human Resource, National Cancer Centre Singapore. His clinical interest is in griefwork and bereavement, experiential counselling and groupwork, particularly in the application of experiential counselling of patients with advanced cancers. His research interests include the study of coping behaviours, meaning-making and intervention models in cancer care.
